TESTIMONIALS

Jeff and I worked to establish the office of civil rights at the university (Goodwin University and University of Bridgeport). During his time there, he oversaw the handling of several issues where he demonstrated his deep knowledge and understanding of the work as well as his ability to partner well with me as a senior leader. He also hired and began training new TIX & Equity coordinators for the organization. After leaving the organization, he continued to support us as a consultant providing coaching and training for this team to ensure a seamless transition. Jeff is a great asset for any organization that is looking to develop their in-house capability in this area, as he has developed numerous training programs for professionals in this area. - Jean White

I highly recommend Jeff Lamoreaux and CIXE Investigations. I have been completely impressed with his professionalism and dedication to the field. As a new Title IX Coordinator (University of Montevallo), I have found his trainings to be invaluable in preparing for this new role. I have attended the Hearing Officer training and the Title IX Coordinator training. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and has a great teaching style that is interactive and engaging. With the option of virtual trainings, both efficient and effective, Jeff is both a leader and an asset to the field. - Tomeiko Scott

I've recently utilized Jeff and CIXE Investigations as both an external investigator and to conduct investigator training. I cannot recommend him enough. First, it was so easy to set everything up - he answered all my questions and was able to provide all the necessary paperwork for the Business Office at my university (University of San Francsico) to get everything squared away. He conducted the investigation promptly and matched the needs of our process and documentation perfectly. Selecting training dates were easy and he was flexible with making the best times work. His knowledge and experiences make him ideal to not only conduct investigations but to train on them, and he is up to speed on all current compliance needs. - Jess Varga

I had the pleasure of working alongside Jeff as a Title IX and EEO Investigator (Auburn University), where he consistently demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to ensuring fairness and compliance. He was instrumental in orienting me to the team, helping me navigate processes and procedures with ease. His ability to handle complex cases and communicate effectively with all parties involved was invaluable. I would highly recommend him for any role requiring strong analytical and investigative skills. - Elexandria Reese

I have known Jeff since he began in his role as Title IX Coordinator at Eastern Washington University (EWU). Jeff was diligent in updating EWU's investigative processes in alignment with state and federal guidelines as well as national best practices. He reached out to me several times to seek input about how to ensure LGBTQ+ students engaged in the investigative process felt affirmed and included. Jeff voluntarily participated (twice) in the Pride Center's Welcoming Project Ally training, which certifies campus employees as visible allies to LGBTQ+ students. I respect Jeff as a colleague and sincerely appreciated all his efforts to ensure students received consistent and fair treatment through his office. - Nick Franco, PhD.

I had the distinct pleasure of working alongside Jeff at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, and it was truly a rewarding experience. Collaborating with Jeff on various projects and presentations was always enjoyable, as he consistently brought fresh ideas and a thoughtful approach to the table. His ability to listen deeply and lead with vision sets him apart as a true thought leader. Jeff's attention to detail, inclusivity, and dedication to fostering a growth mindset created a positive and collaborative environment for everyone around him. He was always present, dependable, and a strong supporter of campus initiatives and events. His eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute makes him stand out even further. Jeff was not only a remarkable colleague but also a valued friend, and I have no doubt that he would be a tremendous asset to any organization. - Karen Kassebaum, PhD.

During my senior year (2020-2021) of college at Appalachian State University, I was involved in many student affairs roles that were multi-faceted. These roles included support and strategic planning around compliance, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Therefore, I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Lamoureaux, as he was the new Director of Title IX Compliance. During our first interactions, he was extremely open, honest, and showed a passion for not only fighting against gender-based discrimination and violence but ways to strategize around student engagement and outreach. Throughout the duration of my senior year, I was impressed by his ability to create an "open-door policy", listen to students, and create new ways to engage with students and community members. For example, if I needed help or advice on a project, Jeff always provided a quick and thorough response. He attended student organization meetings to speak to them about his role, ways he could be supportive, and conducted bias trainings. He was also the driving force around improving the marketing for the Office of Title IX Compliance. I am excited to see what Jeff is able to continue to do within the role and for the students of App State! - Korbin Cummings

The team of victim advocates that I have the pleasure of overseeing and I worked alongside Jeff on multiple Title IX investigations. Time and again, Jeff was kind, compassionate, and trauma informed in his work with student survivors. Jeff’s collaborative approach with victim advocates opened doors for student survivors to feel safe in reporting and in reaching out for support and healing resources. During interviews, Jeff explained why he needed to ask the student survivor certain questions and never rushed the process. Jeff understands the impacts of trauma on the brain and memory. He offered space for student survivors to come forward where they were met with Jeff’s genuine desire to listen. Jeff’s approachable and non-judgmental demeanor often led to a more thorough investigation. Survivors felt safe to share details. Even if the investigation did not lead to a conduct/disciplinary hearing, Jeff’s approach assisted student survivors in feeling heard, seen, and believed. - Ligeia DeVleming

I have had the honor of working with, and under the supervision of, Jeff Lamoureaux as first responders (Burbank Police). He is a very knowledgeable person who is able to accomplish any task(s) placed before him. His experience as a Detective has provided him with the attributes to conduct detailed investigations and has increased his tenacity. Aside from all the above, the most important trait I appreciated was his personality and approachable demeanor. He always was available and willing to assist his fellow co-workers/subordinates with whatever was needed. - Fernando Rojas
